OUR VISION
To disciple children, nurture a love for learning, and reclaim future generations for Christ.
OUR MISSION
To disciple children in the precepts of God’s Word, instilling biblical morals and values in the next generation. With Holy Scripture being the focus and foundation of education, nurturing each child in their individual giftings and talents as God created within them.
Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it.
[ Proverbs 22:6 ]
The WHY
Our heart is to serve families by coming alongside parents in educating children on the foundation of God's Word.
In this, VHCA has the spirit of home education in a nurturing environment within the classroom setting. This is a community for like-minded families who desire discipleship for their children.
REASON #1 - God’s Word Belongs in Education
-
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. [2 Timothy 3:16-17]
REASON #2 - To Keep the Children for God
-
Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” And they were amazed at Him. [Mark 12:17]
It has been said, “We cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans.”
VHCA uses My Father’s World, which is a Christian curriculum that combines the best of Charlotte Mason’s ideas, classical education, and unit studies with a biblical worldview and global focus. The curriculum is robust, with the God-centric curriculum mirroring the Greco-Roman classical stages of grammar, logic, and rhetoric.

Multi-Age Classrooms and Ratios
Peer mentorship – Older kids helping younger kids, not only accelerates and supports learning, but also leads to character development. Kindness, compassion, and respect, can all come about from age interactions.
“Spending time with people older than we tends to mature us. Spending time with younger people can lead to the development of leadership qualities. But I believe spending the majority of your time with those of similar age results only in stunted maturity.” Author David Wheaton, book – University of Destruction.
